Rachel Brown
Rachel Brown co-anchors Eyewitness News weekday mornings from 4-7am.

She joined ABC7 Los Angeles in June 2019 as a weekend morning anchor and general assignment reporter.

Rachel is a native of Chicago's South Side. She received a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois. From there she went on to pursue a master's degree in communication management, and graduated from Northwestern University one year later.

She landed her first reporting job not far from home in South Bend, Indiana. There, she received her first Emmy nomination for her reporting during a winter storm.

On the search for warmer weather, Rachel's next job took her south to Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined NBC Charlotte and served as a weekday evening anchor and reporter for three years.

Outside of the newsroom Rachel is passionate about kids. During her time in Charlotte she volunteered weekly at Levine Children's Hospital. Working as a Child Life Specialist, Rachel's goal was to make children feel as happy and as comfortable as possible during their stay. Here in SoCal, she volunteered at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, working in Patient Relations. Since moving to L.A., Rachel has enrolled in Spanish classes to better communicate with the diverse community she serves.

Rachel loves calling Southern California home. She is always interested in trying new restaurants, getting outdoors, and exploring all that Los Angeles has to offer.
